PollsAF is a mobile app for creating and sharing polls. You can create a preference poll, where people choose one or more options, or a ranking poll, where people put every option in order and the app combines everyone's rankings into a single result.
Polls in PollsAF are public. Anyone using the app can open a poll and see its questions, its options, and its results. Do not put private, confidential, or personal information into a poll question, a poll option, or a poll title.
By downloading or using PollsAF ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use PollsAF. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
PollsAF does not require you to register, provide an email address, or create a username. The App signs you in anonymously and assigns your device a random identifier so your votes can be saved and updated. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, that identifier may be lost, and with it the ability to edit polls or votes you created earlier.
You are responsible for the polls, options, and titles you create. You keep ownership of what you write. By creating a poll, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content within the App for the purpose of operating it.

We may remove any poll or restrict access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe these Terms have been violated. We do not review polls before they are published and we are not responsible for content created by users.
Ranking polls are scored by awarding each option points based on its position in each person's ranking: the top choice in a ranking receives the most points and the last choice receives none. Results are calculated automatically and displayed while a poll is open. Results are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. We make no guarantee that any poll is representative, statistically valid, or free from manipulation by participants.
PollsAF is provided free of charge. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We do not guarantee that polls or votes will be preserved indefinitely.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
These Terms are between you and us, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the App, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
PollsAF is designed to collect as little as possible. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or date of birth.
The data described above is used solely to operate the App: to display polls, record votes, calculate results, and let you update a vote you already cast. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Polls and their results are visible to anyone using the App. Individual votes are not displayed next to any identifier, but poll results reflect all votes cast. Because your identifier is anonymous, other users cannot see who you are — but they can see everything you write into a poll. Treat poll content as public.
PollsAF uses Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) to store data and authenticate anonymous sessions. Data is stored on Google's servers and handled under Google's privacy practices, which you can review at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where Google operates.
Polls and votes are retained until they are deleted by us or by the person who created them. There is no fixed retention period. You may request deletion at any time using the contact address below.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete information about you, or to object to its processing. Because PollsAF does not collect identifying information, we may need you to supply details that let us locate the relevant poll or vote — such as a poll link — before we can act on a request. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Uninstalling the App removes your anonymous identifier from your device but does not by itself delete polls or votes already stored. Contact us if you want those removed.
PollsAF is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will delete it.
We use Firebase security rules to restrict how data can be read and written, and traffic between the App and Firebase is encrypted in transit. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored in the App.
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
